What makes the La Pietra series different from plain white plates?

The colour is constant and the surface is not. Each shape carries its own relief — a hammered Martellato face, a petal-edged Petalo bowl, a rock-textured Ostrica soup plate, a beaded Perline rim. Because the glaze is the same white throughout, the texture reads as a change in light across the table rather than as a pattern, which is what lets the pieces mix without clashing.

Can you buy La Pietra pieces individually?

Yes. The series is sold as open stock rather than as a boxed service, so you can start with six dinner plates and add soup plates, salad bowls or a platter later, or replace a single broken piece without buying a new set. This is the practical reason to choose a series over a boxed dinnerware set.

Is textured porcelain harder to clean?

No. The relief is under a sealed glaze, so the surface is as smooth and non-porous as a flat plate and nothing settles into the texture. These pieces are dishwasher safe; a soft brush is enough for a deeper relief if something has dried on. Avoid abrasive powders, which will dull a glaze over time on any plate, textured or flat.
