Alzata White Footed Ceramic Serving Plate
Height is the cheapest thing a table can be given. A plate raised on a foot lifts whatever is on it clear of everything else, and the gap underneath reads as deliberate rather than crowded — which is why a cake on a stand looks finished and the same cake on a flat plate looks served.
The glaze is plain white under the surface rather than painted over it, so the colour runs through and cannot chip away as a printed pattern does. That matters on a piece handled by the foot and slid across a table.
Three sizes, and they are three different jobs. The 8 in is a single cake or a cheese; the 10 in holds a tart or a round of pastry; the 12 in is the one that carries a centrepiece. All three stack with one another if the foot is seated carefully.
