Gifts
Everything for presenting a gift rather than the gift itself: bags, boxes, keepsake boxes, tissue, wrapping paper, ribbon, cards and ready-to-give sets.
What makes a wrapped gift look properly finished?
Three layers, not one: something to contain it, something to fill the gap, and something to close it. A bag with tissue and a tied ribbon reads as considered; the same bag with the contents visible at the top does not.
Bag, box or wrap?
Wrap for a flat, regular shape. A bag for anything awkward or last-minute. A rigid or keepsake box for anything fragile, anything posted, or anything you want kept after the contents are gone.
How much wrapping paper does one gift take?
Measure around the box and add about 2 in for the overlap, then add the box depth to each end. Sheet packs here are sized per sheet, so a 19.7 x 27.6 in sheet covers a shoebox-sized gift with little to spare.
How late can gift supplies be ordered?
Wrapping, boxes and bows are the items most often left to the last week and the first to run out in December. Everything here is orderable as listed, but the sensible planning rule is to buy the containers before the gifts: a box without a gift is useful next year, a gift without a box is a problem on the day.
