Kitchen Tools & Gadgets
Tools for cooking, prep and the drinks station: utensil sets, knife sharpeners, peelers and graters, cocktail kits, coffee accessories and cast iron.
What is worth buying before anything else?
A sharp peeler, a pair of tongs, one good spatula and a working knife sharpener cover more daily cooking than any single-purpose gadget. A dull knife is the most common reason a kitchen feels harder to work in than it should.
Silicone, wood or stainless?
Silicone is the only one safe on a non-stick pan, and it tolerates heat without melting at normal cooking temperatures. Wood is gentle and warm in the hand but must never soak. Stainless is the most durable and the easiest to clean, and the one to avoid on coated pans.
Are utensil sets better value than buying singly?
Usually, if the set is the size you will actually use. A six-piece set of the tools you reach for daily beats a nineteen-piece set where a third of it stays in the drawer — and a crowded drawer is the reason good tools get lost.
Are kitchen tools here stocked year round?
Kitchen tools do not follow the seasonal cycle that party and tableware ranges do, so they are far less prone to the pre-holiday shortages. They are ordered as listed, and because they are not tied to a pattern or a colourway, a replacement bought in two years will still do the same job.
