Pink & Gold Miniature Porcelain Tea Set, 8 pc, 1:6 Scale

An eight-piece tea service in miniature, made in real porcelain rather than moulded plastic — a teapot, a sugar bowl, a creamer, a tray, two cups and two saucers, in pink with a gold trim.

Porcelain is what makes the difference at this size. A printed plastic miniature reads as a toy from across a room; glazed porcelain catches light the way the full-size piece does, which is the only reason a 1.7 in teapot looks like a teapot at all.

The lids on the teapot and the sugar bowl lift off, so the set stages open as well as closed. At 1:6 it suits a doll-scale kitchen or dining room; in a 1:12 house it reads as a large, generous service.

It also works outside a dollhouse — on a shelf, in a shadow box, or as a photography prop where a full-size tea service would not fit the frame.

• Real porcelain: glazed, not printed plastic
• Eight pieces: teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, tray, 2 cups, 2 saucers
• Lids lift off: teapot and sugar bowl both open
• 1:6 scale: or a large service in a 1:12 house
• Pink with gold trim: hand-finished detailing
• Decorative: not intended for food or drink
