Kitchen Organization
Storage and organisation for counters, drawers and the sink: utensil caddies, drawer trays, dish racks, fruit baskets, spice racks and under-cabinet dispensers.
Where should organising start?
With the tools used daily. A caddy by the hob for the four or five utensils actually reached for, and a drawer tray for cutlery, removes most of the daily friction. Deep-cupboard organisation can wait — it looks like progress but changes very little about how the kitchen is actually used day to day.
Expandable or fixed drawer organisers?
Expandable trays fit an awkward drawer and can move house with you, but they lose a little usable width to the mechanism. A fixed tray measured to the drawer uses every inch — measure the drawer interior, not the front panel.
Does a dish rack need a drip tray?
If it sits on a worktop rather than over a sink, yes. Without one, water runs onto the surface and eventually marks it, which is the most common complaint about an otherwise good rack.
