A 250 ml double-walled glass cup, in clear or one of four tints. Two walls with air between them keep the outside cool enough to hold while the drink inside stays hot, so no sleeve and no handle are needed.
At 250 ml it is the standard coffee measure rather than a mug — a cappuccino, a flat white, a tea drunk while it is hot. Double-walled glass also keeps a layered drink looking like one, which a ceramic cup hides entirely.
Choose clear if the drink is the decoration; choose a tint if the cup is. Hand washing is the safer habit, because a dishwasher's heat cycles work on the seal between the two walls.
Double-walled glass is strong in normal use but it cannot be mended — a crack in either wall ends the insulation. Avoid pouring boiling water into a cup straight from a cold cupboard.
