Striped Ruffle Edge Tablecloth
The ruffle is what dates this correctly. A plain hem reads as modern or as hotel; a ruffled edge reads as a country table, and the vertical navy stripe keeps it from tipping into fussy.
The blend is polyester, cotton and linen together, which is the practical middle ground — linen for the texture and the way it falls, cotton for softness, polyester so it survives repeated washing and does not need pressing before every use. A pure linen cloth looks better and gets used twice a year; this one gets used.
Four sizes. It also works beyond the dining table, on a coffee table or a console where the ruffle hangs rather than lying flat — which is where the edge detail actually gets seen, since a hem flat against a surface disappears entirely.
- Ruffled edge: reads as a country table, not a hotel one
- Vertical navy stripe: keeps the ruffle from turning fussy
- Polyester-cotton-linen: texture of linen, durability of polyester
- No pressing needed: survives repeated washing
- Four sizes: to suit the table you have
- Beyond dining: works on a coffee table or console
