A charger is the plate nobody eats from. It sits underneath for the whole meal and its only job is to make the setting look finished.
At 13 in these are wider than any dinner plate that will be set on them, so a band of pink shows all the way round whatever is on top. Pink is the unusual choice here — most chargers are gold or silver and disappear into the tablecloth, while this one sets the colour for the whole table and lets the plates stay white.
Six covers a standard dining table. They also do the practical job chargers were invented for: catching what misses the plate, so the cloth underneath survives the evening.
- Set of 6: one for each place at a full table
- 13 in / 33 cm: wider than the plate set on it
- Sets the colour: the table's palette comes from underneath
- Protects the cloth: catches what misses the plate
- Reusable: wipe clean and store for next time
- Works with white: lets plain dinnerware do the rest
