The body is stainless steel, pressed rather than assembled, so there is no join for food to collect in and nothing to loosen after a year of washing. It takes hard cheese, chocolate, nutmeg, garlic, ginger and citrus zest. Rinse it under the tap while the blade is still wet and nothing sets in it.
