The glaze runs from pale at the rim to deep at the base. Because it is a gradient rather than a printed block, the colour changes as the mug turns in the hand, and no two come out of the kiln identical.
At 360 ml it is a proper mug: a full coffee with room, or a generous tea. The ceramic body is thick enough to hold heat through a slow morning rather than going lukewarm by the second half, which is the usual complaint about a thin-walled mug.
