Blue Bagasse Plates, 10 in, 30 pc
A hexagonal plate in a soft blue, made from what is left after sugarcane is pressed. It composts in about ninety days.
What is absent matters more than what is in it: no BPA, no PFAS, no chlorine bleaching and no wax coating. The wax is the one people miss — most disposable plates are waxed to stop them going soft, and that coating is what leaches into hot food and stops the plate composting cleanly. These rely on the density of the bagasse instead, so the plate holds a hot course on its own merits.
The hexagon is a deliberate break from the circle, and at 10 in it still takes a full dinner serving. Thirty covers a party or a long weekend outdoors.
