Kiln-Fired Ceramic Seasoning Bottle with Leak-Proof Lid
A sealing lid rather than a pourer. That makes this the bottle for the things that leak, go rancid or lose their smell on an open shelf — oil, vinegar, soy, cooking wine.
High-temperature kiln firing is what gives the body its density, and a dense ceramic does not absorb what is kept in it. An unsealed or low-fired pot will eventually smell of last year's sesame oil no matter how well it is washed; this will not. The lid seals properly, so a bottle tipped in a cupboard does not leave a ring.
At 20.5 cm tall it stands with the oil bottles rather than lying in a drawer. Four colours — red scale, grey scale, Bangkok brown and cat eye blue — each with a Japanese minimalist profile.
- Leak-proof lid: seals, so a tipped bottle leaves no ring
- Kiln-fired: dense enough not to absorb what is inside
- 20.5 cm tall: stands with the oils, not flat in a drawer
- Oil to soy: for anything that leaks or turns
- Four colours: red, grey, Bangkok brown or cat eye blue
- Minimalist profile: plain enough to leave on the counter
