Rotolo
Rotolo is the pre-rolled cutlery series — a knife, fork and spoon already wrapped and sealed inside a napkin, ready to set out with nothing to assemble. Colours cover black, gold, silver, rose gold and pink with white or orange napkins, in counts from 25 to 400 sets. Prices run $39.99 to $209.99.
Why use pre-rolled cutlery instead of loose sets?
The labour is already done. Rolling a knife, fork, spoon and napkin by hand takes roughly fifteen to twenty seconds a setting, which is well over an hour for a hundred guests, and it is the job that always falls to the morning of the event. Pre-rolled sets also stay clean and paired in transport, and they can be put straight into a basket for a buffet or laid on a plate for a seated table.
How many sets should you order?
Order one set per guest for a single-course meal and about one and a quarter per guest for a buffet or anything served in two sittings, because cutlery gets put down and abandoned. The count in each title is the number of complete rolled sets, not the number of individual utensils, which is the figure to check against your guest list.
Where does the napkin colour matter most?
The napkin is the visible part once the set is on a plate, so it carries the colour and the cutlery reads as a neutral. That is why black cutlery with an orange napkin suits an autumn table while the same cutlery with a white napkin reads formal. If you are matching an existing palette, match the napkin first and let the cutlery finish follow.
