The bowl has a pouring spout, which is the piece most sets leave out. Whisk in the bowl, then pour into a cup without the dribble down the side that comes from tipping a plain chawan. The whisk holder matters for a different reason — a bamboo whisk left flat loses the shape of its tines within weeks, and a holder keeps them splayed and dry so the whisk lasts a year instead of a season.
Yao Bian is a kiln-transformation glaze, so the green pools and breaks differently on every bowl. The one you receive will not match the photograph exactly, and that is the nature of the glaze rather than a fault.
