Pine Sushi Serving Boat
The boat shape exists for a practical reason: a long, shallow, raised-ended vessel lets you lay sushi in a single row where every piece is visible and reachable, instead of stacked on a flat plate.
It is pine, cut by machine and finished by hand, which is why the edges differ slightly from one to the next. Wood is the traditional material here and it is the right one — it does not sweat under cold rice the way a cold ceramic plate does, so the bottom pieces stay as good as the first.
Three lengths: 33 cm for two people, 37 cm for three or four, and 42 cm for a table. Beyond sushi it serves bread, canapés or a row of small desserts.
