Aluminium Manual Citrus Juicer
A press rather than a reamer. You halve the fruit, put it in cut side down and close the handles — the whole half inverts and the juice is driven out in one movement, rather than being worked out in circles against a cone.
That is why a press gets more from a lime than a reamer does, and why it leaves the pith behind instead of scraping bitterness into the glass. Aluminium alloy keeps it light enough to use repeatedly without the hand tiring, which matters when a recipe wants six limes.
No electricity, nothing to plug in and only one piece to rinse. The handle is finished non-slip, so a wet hand still closes it cleanly, which is the state a hand is in by the third lime.
- Press, not a reamer: the whole half inverts in one movement
- Gets more juice: and leaves the pith behind
- No bitterness: nothing scraped out of the skin
- Aluminium alloy: light enough to repeat without tiring
- No power needed: nothing to plug in
- Non-slip handle: closes cleanly with a wet hand
