Metal & Kitchen Tools
Stainless steel and metal tools for cooking, prep and the drinks station: grinders, squeezers, peelers, sharpeners, cocktail sets and ice buckets.
Why choose stainless steel over plastic or silicone?
Stainless does not stain, hold odours or soften against heat, and it can be scrubbed without marking. The trade-off is that it conducts heat, so a handle left resting in a hot pan gets hot, and it will mark a non-stick surface.
What is worth owning before anything else?
A sharp peeler, a pair of tongs and a working pepper grinder cover more daily cooking than any gadget. A knife sharpener comes next — a dull knife is the most common reason a kitchen feels difficult to work in.
Ceramic or steel burrs in a grinder?
Ceramic burrs do not corrode and keep an edge longer, which suits salt as well as pepper. Steel mechanisms are usually cheaper and grind faster but should be kept away from salt.
